As an independent artist, I create music that reflects my experiences as a Black woman, activist and member of the independent cultural scene. Through my music, I address issues such as racism, sexism and environmental justice. I am a social activist and believe that art can be a powerful tool for creating social change. I have released two albums, curated events.
I am submitting my latest album, We Got This, for the Prize of the Independent Scene. In We Got This I explore themes of female empowerment and resistance with cutting-edge production and thought-provoking lyrics. My work embodies the values of the independent cultural scene.
