The film depicts one day from the life of a woman who fled her home because of the Russian full-scale invasion of Ukraine. Now her life consists of weekly German language courses, a low-paid job as cleaning staff in an office, and evening time alone with her thoughts. The main character is one of many who found themselves alienated and lost within the broken social connections with their past and present and uncertain thoughts about the future.

Der Film zeigt einen Tag im Leben einer Frau, die aufgrund der groß angelegten russischen Invasion in die Ukraine aus ihrer Heimat geflohen ist. Ihr Leben besteht nun aus wöchentlichen Deutschkursen, einem schlecht bezahlten Job als Reinigungskraft in einem Büro und Abenden, die sie allein mit ihren Gedanken verbringt. Die Hauptfigur ist eine von vielen, die sich entfremdet und verloren fühlen, aufgrund der zerbrochenen sozialen Verbindungen zu ihrer Vergangenheit und Gegenwart, sowie unsicheren Gedanken über die Zukunft.

Yuliia Sudarchykova, originally from Kyiv, is currently based in Vienna. She is pursuing a degree in applied photography and time-based media at the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Before her studies, she worked as an assistant for several film production companies in Kyiv.
Her passion for visual arts began with photography, and over the years, filmmaking has also become a significant part of her creative expression.
Yuliia’s work explores themes such as contemporary socio-political processes, coming-of-age traumas and family relationships, the relationship between humanity and nature, and the post-colonial states of Eastern Europe.
