Amazon Woman is a surrealistic art film contributing to the long tradition of head-missing magic tricks from a contemporary perspective. The film was shot during the lockdown periods 2020 and 2021, it shows the everyday adventures of an „Amazon Woman“ during this time.
When hearing the title of the film, Amazon Woman, one of the first associations coming to mind is „Wonder Woman“, a strong female character fighting for justice and the realization of her dreams. In pandemic times however „Amazon Woman“ stands mostly for a lonely person constantly ordering things from amazon.com, which over the course of time completely dominates her life. Ordered objects and dependence on their arrival and existence become crucial, and as a result these objects take over the tasks of the mind, which becomes a mere object itself, aimed at just performing actions.
